Africa on Canvas buys paintings at fair market value directly from artists in Tanzania & donates all net proceeds from the resale to The Uganda Partnership Association, a Calgary organization working with widows in Uganda to develop projects that empower women & children to lead the way in changing their communities.

Happy New Year!
Submitted: Wed, 02/04/2009 - 01:56 by LizAnd welcome to 2009! Normally this time of year would be dedicated to new years resolutions and fresh starts, but this year my focus is on something old, one year old in fact. Yup - Africa on Canvas turned 1!
From the first shipment of 5 paintings that we opened on the patio at the Lazy Loaf last fall, to over 200 paintings imported to date. How cool! Sometimes I'm still in awe that the project has made it so far in such a short period of time.
