Africa on Canvas buys paintings at fair market value directly from artists in Tanzania & donates all net proceeds from the resale to The Uganda Partnership Association, a Calgary organization working with widows in Uganda to develop projects that empower women & children to lead the way in changing their communities.

New Artwork Posted
Submitted: Sun, 04/19/2009 - 14:50 by LizA number of new African paintings have been added to the "In Stock" and "Sold" sections of the website this weekend. Many of these paintings have been in stock since Christmas, but they went on display at the Matchbox Theatre in Red Deer before I could take photos, so they are just making onto the website now.

I have to say that I am excited by the positive response I've received on the project early this year and I am looking forward to an even more successful 2009! Our first outdoor festival will be the 4th Street Lilac Festival on May 31, 2009.
