Africa on Canvas buys paintings at fair market value directly from artists in Tanzania & donates all net proceeds from the resale to The Uganda Partnership Association, a Calgary organization working with widows in Uganda to develop projects that empower women & children to lead the way in changing their communities.

On Friday, May 22, 2009 Africa on Canvas will again be working in partnership with Memeza Africa. Our art display will be set up for the evening concert being held at the Cochrane Alliance Church at 902 Glenbow Drive Cochrane. The performance starts at 7:30pm and the art display will be open before and after the show as well as during the intermission.
If you can’t make it out to see us there, we will also be at the Lilac Festival on Sunday, May 31st. Our booth number is 1514, close to the Rose and Crown and right across from Bull Frog Power. In addition to our selection of paintings, we will also have a number of new items in our inventory including Tingatinga painted platters, wooden bowls and customized name plates.
